A5h
Hi Guys This is my 3rd and last R1, did this as a gift for a guy at work and handed it him the other day, he was pleased and surprised as he didnt expect it. Paint is Tamiya TS51, instructions call for TS50 but I picked up the wrong can. halfords clear lacquer was used over the blue. (Will get some 2k from Hiroboy eventually!) I didnt polish the paint work, thats the finish straight from the can(s) I substituted the rear brake lines for clear green tubing instead of the normal black, the bottom of the forks where also BMF'd. Hope you like it Ash
Natter
That's really nice. Considering the finish is straight from the can(s) it's not a bad gloss at all.
A5h
Cheers Dave, Im going to invest in some 2k from Hiroboy in a few weeks and blow the dust off the airbrush. Tried the Halfords stuff on a Camaro im doing and it put black hair like fibers on the car, I know it came from the can and not my shirt as I pulled off the nozzle and there was a large collection on the plastic nib coming from the can..... very disappointed
