Pappy
G'day people, I managed to get this one finished off today, As the topic indicates, I bought an LED kit for this as an experiment. Although it was a little fiddly at times, the kit was easy to install. Assembly and painting followed and as typical for the Finmolds kits, it was a doddle. I actually had the kit assembled and mostly painted but only finished it this weekend because I needed to go an buy a switch to complete the circuitry. These little guys come in the kit and I couldn't resist The lighting kit includes a red LED for the optic fibres and a blue LED to illuminate the cockpit. You need to solder in the supplied resistor for the blue LED circuit. Unfortunately, I forgot to do this and when I supplied power I managed to destroy my blue LED The good news is that the optic fibre lights work very well, although my photographic attempts are abysmal! Finally , a group shot of the fleet, cheers, Pappy
