Reini78
Fujimi kit, decals from sparebox After the Allied invasion most German fighter units were thrown at the western front, only few stayed behind to defend the Reich. As sole group of JG27, II. Gruppe was stationed in Fels am Wagram/Lower-Austria to defend the Vienna area from July to October 1944. Pilot of this Bf109G-6/AS was Unteroffizier Fritz Zimmermann who was shot down and killed on August 23rd 1944 over St.Pölten. My dad also used a Fujimi kit for the Bf109G-14/AS The model shows a plane of 13./JG53, Unteroffizier Herbert Maxis was hit on Jan 1 1945 by AA fire during Operation Bodenplatte, after a belly-landing when getting out of the plane he was shot by advancing US troops.

steveinns
I like those ! Really really impressive, thanks for posting. A question, my monitor doesn't show clearly what the upper surface colours might be on white 13, are they RLM dark green 82 & grey 75 or is it the green 82 & braun violet 81 ? Whatever, superbly finished & always a joy to see your posted images !

Reini78
Beautiful Gustavs! That's interesting about the landing gear colour. Regards, Jason it seems not all AS engined 109s had red legs, but often hard to tell with b/w pics
