Black Knight
Three more hardy modellers signed up , No need for this one to go for a vote. If we have enough people interested to make it worthwhile and can agree on a weekend we can slot it it. That sounds excellent.
milktrip
I'd definitely be up for this. Just hope it falls on a weekend that I'm home.
dazdot
Built a 109g10 in 4 hours this weekend So I could try out a vallejo rlm set quite happy with the result!!!!
Black Knight
You're signed up milktrip, You bring the body count up to 13 Getting in some practice to challenge Mish, eh, dazdot?
dazdot
Nah I have a bigger challenge for the blitz build. It's going to take all allowed time and then I still may not finish it
Rob G
I too have available time issues. But if the chosen weekend doesn't conflict with my roller derby commitments, work, fishing or general photography, I'm still in!
vppelt68
Re the rules; in this case the normal 25% limit of prebuilding should not apply. The build should start from the very beginning, right?

milktrip
Another question on the rules. Are there any limitations on using aftermarket bits (etch, masks, upgrades)? As this is a blitz build I can understand that using lots of aftermarket bits will use up valuable time, so daft (or brave) to go too elaborate. I ask as I'm thinking of building an airfix spitfire mk22; was going to use the Eduard mask set and the Quickboost exhausts. Cheers
Black Knight
As much aftermarket as you want to use. Sometimes its faster and easier to use an a/m part than clean up and prepare a kit part.

trickyrich
I'm up for the challenge!! Have a couple of old Frog kits that would suit very nicely...might even have some resin stuff as well! The only issue for me is that I could be away for work, but will worry about that at the time.

Black Knight
Any more takers? Anyone else ready for the challenge? With 14 committed to this I'll start a discussion on 'When' Firstly to sorting it, which part of the year? Whats your preference; 1st quarter 2nd quarter 3rd quarter 4th quarter of '
milktrip
I have no preference with which quarter. What will be a limitation for me is where the date falls in relation to my rota (my rota may also be changing next year)
vppelt68
Whichever for me too. I vote for a limited build time within a friday to sunday build window but will do whatever the rules will say. Snap kit with a single color upper surfaces paint job should do fine 😊
Stosh65
I'd probably rather avoid the second quarter, my weekends will be jammed with American Football.

Black Knight
Avoid a weekend with any model shows or Old Warden Airshow, now there's a challenge for ya For that I'll need to consult an expert who knows the show circuit. Arniec
I will be bussy all year with all those GB's. So it is up to you guys. Cheers,
Rob G
I don't know what I'm doing work wise next month, let alone next year. If I can do it in the nominated timeframe, I'll join in. If not, oh well.
