Flankerman
Famed Indonesian modeller Alex Sidharta has just sent me this photo.....It is, apparently, scaled up from the Trumpeter 1/72 scale version - with improvements. This is a sample boxing sent to his friend - so that's all I know about it.He promised to take more photos soon.....Happy Flankering!Ken Note:- Editted to change title from Trumpeter to Hobby Boss - on request Edited July 27, 2015 by Flankerman
Muzz
Oh yes, that's more like it! Looks fairly advanced, released late this year?
Wezra
Will this be a Trumpeter release? I thought HobbyBoss had this on their schedule for the last few years.

exdraken
hmmm thanks a loot for the additional pictures and comments! panel lines look soft compared to the Academy kit.... R-27 look short or thick ? wheel wells look really strange!! nozzles are crude! compare them to GWH MiG-29s! --> Upnorth or Dreammodel PE! cockpit detail is a bit poor as well nose and canopy look quite ok! really curious how this one will compare size-wise to the Academy kit! lets wait and see! Bonehammer
It's just an impression unsupported by any measurement but the forward fuselage seems slender-er and the wings more swept than the Academy - kind of like a Y versus a T. I like the one-piece air intake with the indentation on the fuselage belly, the deep cockpit tub and the fully-boxed wheel wells. On the whole, much less potential for see-through. Okay, the wells are slant-eyed, but at least they're on the underside. What I won't like, I guess, will be the price... (Funny how it is, I paid the RP for the Be-12 without batting an eyelid, but somehow I can't justify a lesser expense for the GWH MiG-29, even though it's a beautiful kit. I must be emotionally attached to those Academy kits and the 'pennyless university student' memories that they evoke) Edited July 28, 2015 by Bonehammer
