This model - for which I have no instructions. Using those other kits to get correct shape and colour ideas.

and high expectations of depicting that Messerschmitt

As some may know, I'm a volunteer at Jet Age Museum, Staverton - where we have a film prop replica of Hurricane V6799.

Signed by Wing Commander Ken Mackenzie, who was a member of Jet Age until his death in 2009 aged 92.

Jet Age has asked me to refurbish an ancient, cockpit-less 1/48 Airfix Hurricane as the other component of this incident.

My idea is that a 72nd Messerschmitt will give a better sense of perspective.

I'm building the same Hurricane. Looking forward to seeing how you do.

This is a Messeschmitt build, The Hurricane is previous release - but same markings.

Anyway construction commences.

So is it a right shape . . .

Filling seams - notice my truncated Port stabilizer.

Not strictly relevant to the GB - as I've not built it,
but here is the old release Hurricane that Jet Age gave me to work with.
I've fitted a vac-form canopy, sawed off the wingtip, and disked the propellor.

Not the best focus, but I've painted the raw edge aluminium, and replicated the structure with painted masking tape.

And the box that I'm replicating,  for the Airfix Hurricane.
