Rick Brown
Here we go chaps! These two will be built together, but this'll be the Hurricane thread. This looks like fun! More later. Rick.
Rick Brown
Managed to get a bit done this morning: The kit is looking its age now. There's quite a bit of flash and the wings aren't quite the same thickness on each side, but nothing a bit of filler won't fix. Off to a wedding, hope to do some more tomorrow. Rick Brown
Steady on chaps, there's loadsa sanding and filling to do yet! As for the pilot...... BTW, there's a reason for the pilot being used...... More when I'm sober. Rick.
Rick Brown
Here we go again. Don't have much time today, but I've done the initial seam removal and plonked the pilot in his home. There isn't much filling required, just a bit at the wing root and underside of the wing join. More tomorrow, wife and kids back now. nick32
Good stuff Rick. They might be old kits but they still look good to my eyes Nick
Rick Brown
Managed to grab a few minutes before the house woke up: Filled the seams with melted sprue and tidied up a little. There wasn't much work needed, surprisingly! I'll tone down the raised details next. Hope to get more done in the week. Rick.

Fatboydim
Looking good Rick. I forgot all about melted sprue as a filler. It's good stuff. Joe
Rick Brown
Looking good Rick. I forgot all about melted sprue as a filler. It's good stuff. Joe Very under rated I find! I've had a little trouble with this batch. It's been leaving bubbles on the surface. I suspect this was when it was first made and was "gassing off". I hope it's settles now. Thanks for keeping my mojo going. It's hard work with so many demands on my time. Rick.
nick32
Looking good Rick. Might be an old kit but still looks the part. I've never tried melted sprue as a filler, gonna have to give it a go. Nick
