Thanks guys.

Ozzy, the harness is Eduards fabric. It can be very delicate & I did snap some of the harness, luckily it was on the back side of the seat.

Sean, thanks allot. I have a real problem with white & flesh paint, whether enamel or acrliyic so really chuffed with him & my attempt at the required RAF Fighter Pilot Tache.

Great work on the pilot Hockeyboy! Nah, that's an RAF 'stache all the way.

Always said you were a good lad Cookie (cheques in the post!!)

Brilliant work. The tash has worked, the whole figure looks great strapped in to the CP.

Rob

Thanks Rob, little touching up here and there required & also you can't tell that I have had to remove his feet to get him in.

Removing his feet is no problem. ... didn't do Douglas Bader any harm!

Very true. I'm surprised no-one appears to be build Baders aircraft.

Hi, I'm a bit late to this one, but watching closely now as I also have one for my 2nd entry into the GB. I like what you've done with the IP, I've done it myself in 1/32 but not 1/48, perhaps I will try it.

Cheers

Cheers John,

I think it really adds something to the cockpit & cheaper than some photo PE. I did have some Klear in each one to give a glass look, but most seems to evaporated.

My attempts at surgery didn't do Fg. Off. L.E. Glass any harm either  , nice work buddy.

Thanks John, hope your well now dude.

That looks like a real light!? Nice touches here looks great.

Rob

Rob, it's the kit light. I just painted the outside silver, and left the attachment point clear.

Great pilot. I really like the harness. Well done. Joe

Thanks Joe. The eduard fabric is really good.

Got some time at the bench today, underside painted. Now watching the BoB on DVD.

Heinkles..... Messerschmitt ..... Heinkles

Battle of Britain, classic film and also useful colour pictures for weathering.

Best enjoyed with a Curry take away that's hotter than expected.

Photo update,

The Hum 90 underside, brush painted over a panel line wash of diluted black 33

IMG_1244_zpshuncemos.jpg

Underside now masked & top coat of Hum 29 from a rattle can, again over a panel line wash of Hum33

IMG_1248_zps1yoocblh.jpg

Letting this dry then will use the paint masks & rattle can Hum 30.

More to follow....... but not today.

Thanks for all your kind comments guys. I'm a brush painter, never been able to get to grips with an airbrush, although I do occasionally use rattle cans and chuffed to bits with the results today. Even coverage & no runs.
