Haggis9444
Afternoon all. My 2nd attempt at this kit. Its PCM's 1/32 Spitfire XIVc completed OOB except for machined cannon barrels and aftermarket cockpit door. Finished with Tamiya spraycans and light weathering. Great kit too build with fantastic resin cockpit and beautiful Cartograph decals. All comments welcome.

Fatboydim
Very nice finish. The paint and camouflage looks excellent. The decals went on very well. Thank you for posting. Regards, Joe
Finnthedude
That is beautiful, you've done an excellent job there. I think your aftermarket door works especially well. Finnthedude.
doozer1974
Lovely looking Spitfire, the cockpit looks superbly detailed!
Spitfire31
She looks just plain ravishing! Minor (very minor!)observations: the mainwheels look uncharacteristically splayed (but difficult to judge from the last photo) and usually, on a parked Spit, the elevators would droop. I said minor… ;-) Beautiful work! Kind regards, Joachim

MikeC
Nope, the CG is too far aft It just won't fly. Groan! Lovely Spit, I must get myself one of those; this one is inspiration. Edited July 6, 2015 by MikeC
NPL
It is a marvelous kit, and by far the most correct Mk.XIV in any scale. Lots of resin for the cockpit included. And beautifully done!
Biggles87
Beautiful! I have one of these which I intend to build as an FR 18. Did you do a WIP? John
Haggis9444
Beautiful! I have one of these which I intend to build as an FR 18. Did you do a WIP? No WIP I'm afraid. An FR18 would be a cracking conversion. Good luck with it. Mark. John
stevehnz
I reckon that's just magic, one of my all time favourite aeroplanes & if I'm not mistaken, in markings of Wing Commander Colin Grey, top scoring New Zealander during WW2. I do like your finish, beautifully clean & tidy & being the Wing Co's aeroplane, would have been kept like that I'd say. Steve.

NPL
Biggles87 Have you consulted Grey Matters home page, as their conversion seems to include everything you need for the Mk.XVIII? and to Robotics who seemingly condescendently just comments: another Spitfire": You will be surprised when you realize how many "another Spitfires" you will see here!
nick32
Very very nice, perfectly weathered (to my taste) and stunning. As for the 'another Spitfire...' comment - You can never have enough Spitfires. Thanks for sharing, Nick

tonyot
Great job on a great kit Haggis,......I`m amazed that the PCM Spit XIV was not so popular as it should have been over here in the UK! Cheers Tony

JohnT
Nope, the CG is too far aft It just won't fly. Can't believe it took me ten minutes to work that out! Very nice build. The later mark Spits look more brutish to my eyes but in a good way
giemme
Very very nice, perfectly weathered (to my taste) and stunning. As for the 'another Spitfire...' comment - You can never have enough Spitfires. Thanks for sharing, Nick Although I do prefer a heavier weathering, I couldn't agree more with this comment (all of that). You can never have enough Spitfires ...
