Good afternoon Rob

This Gb starts next Saturday   :D

  I have to choose between

Italeri F104 A/C https://www.scalemates.com/kits/376835-italeri-1359-f-104-a-c-starfighter

Hasegawa F104 J/CF104

https://www.scalemates.com/kits/211404-hasegawa-00446-f-104j-cf-104-starfighter

and TF104G/F104DJ

https://www.scalemates.com/kits/135625-hasegawa-01004-tf-104g-f-104dj-starfighter

But first finish the current builds

Think I'm going to have to go Far Eastern for one build, in the words of The Vapors "I'm turning Japanese".

If the 60's NATO GB pulls through I will be making a Dutch one over there. If it doesn't I will be making it here.

found an interesting photo of a Spanish C.8.

it carries I guess Expal build MK-83 or -84 GP bombs

http://www.916-starfighter.de/Large/Stars/wS731.htm

what do you think? Mk-83 or -84?  1000lb or 2000lb? 500kg or 1000 kg?

I'd probably use a Hase kit with Daco improvement set. does it have the correct pylons for such a bomb load?

thanks!

Sounds interesting ! SImilar techniques were studied with other aircrafts and in a sense the ASAT/F-15 combination was too different. The 104 sure had a very impressive climb rate, the project could succeed.

Another way to get something new from a Starfighter is this:

Late to the party, I’d like to join.

I actually have time in the CF-104. I managed to get one back-seat ride in a 104 before they were retired. I’d like to model that airframe.

Will be great to see your model ! I am of course very envious of your flight in a Starfighter !

Hope you'll tell us something about your experience!

Evening all - finally thinking of making a start to mine. Does anyone happen to have a colour guide or decal scheme to go with the HobbyBoss/Hasegawa decal sheet shown here (with the blue background) they could scan and message me a copy of?
