Nigel Heath
I finished this yesterday so here is the promised RFI. Here is the build thread. I thought this was going to be an almost out of the box build but in the end I added or modified the following:Modified the front undercarriage strut and made it so it could be added later on in the build. Added PE seat belts. Added some detailing in the front undercarriage bay. Replaced all the gun barrels with 0.8mm brass tube. Modified the turret guns so they could be painted separately and added later. Used instrument decals from Mike Grant. Added weighted effect to the wheels using heat. Extended the pitot tube with brass tube. Replaced the aerial mast with one from another kit. Added scratch build DF loop. Used Extradecal Swastika decals. Added navigation lights from clear sprue. Added wire brake lines. So nearly OOB then... Here you go: Its a very nice kit and a lot of fun to build, I hope you like it.

jrlx
It's a superb build of an awesome aircraft! Congrats! The WIP thread is full of usefult tips and will be a great reference for my future build of this kit. The only problem now is the bar has been put too high :-) Jaime

jean
Absolutely lovely! Having said that, I do not like that plane too much as a couple keep flying low over my home, making a nuisance of themselves!!! But a great build all the same. Sorry, got to go. Time for my medication... JR

Tomoshenko
Excellent work Nigel, particularly those engines, the subtle weathering, paint job, scratch work and canopy. Must confess that it is not my choice subject matter, but you bring it to life with the quality and added detail. That said a good build's a good build, also I (do have a likeing for sci-fi whatiffery. Bring on the next buid.

louiex2
Excellent work, as usual and we are all looking forward to the completion of the Osprey once your move is complete and the new model room is up and running. If I may edtorialize for a moment- For anyone who hasn't read through the WIP, take some time to do so. It is well worth it, as are all of Nigel's WIPs. You'll find in each one an excellent tutorial on how to build a model, complete with successes, set backs, minor disasters, overcoming the problems, unique and amazing construction methods and skills, etc. (And no, Mr. Heath did not pay me to say this ) Edited June 22, 2015 by louiex2
