After the 1/48th kit (http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234934843-148-aero-l-29-delfin-by-avantgarde-model-kits-released/), AMK should release (in December 2015?) a 1/72nd Aero L-29 Delfin.

To be followed.

AMK first venture into 1/72 scale. A virtual scale down of our already famous 1/48 kit.
This will have 5 sprues, photo etch, premium quality plastic and accuracy. Super engineered for easy fit and ease of building. This should virtually throw itself together just grab a drink and put some music on. Sit back and enjoy the ride.
5 decal schemes. USSR, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Ukraine and Egypt.
Pretty much the same as the 1/48 version so you'll know this really is an Avantgarde product!!!!

1/72 Aero L-29 Delfin price at retail to customer set at USD 14.85 (European market price). THAT is a bargain right there!

New finalised CAD renders for you. This will be the finest quality Delfin in this scale on the market. If you know our 1/48 version then this will be on par!

I am part way through the 1/48th kit and really enjoying it. Still a pity that there are no Iraqi markings in the 1/72nd, one like the 1/48th one has.

To be fair though, if we just simply copied the 1/48 scale kit I am pretty sure we would get complaints. We are just trying to provide new stuff for you so you have choices.

If you need Iraqi markings then I am sure there will be some aftermarket. At this price you can buy aftermarket decals, seats, pitot tubes and wheels and still have a bargain kit.

Glad you’re enjoying the bigger brother.

:goodjob:

Thank you V.P.

As you can see we have finished some of the moulds but some need playing with (to be expected) and hence why we do the first test shots.

Not bad for the first test from the mould.

Clear plastic is not the actual plastic we will use. It’s only for testing as I say, expect the usual crystal clear plastic for the final product.

This is not the finished plastic by any means and as you know, we won’t let it go until it’s as good as we can make it.

Not far now, we expect this to be ordered by your local distributors and retailers at the end of the month.

I'll be watching the shelves in the Brno shops for this one.

I plan to buy at least two with the aim of converting one to the single seat L-29A Akrobat version.
