DaveCromie Posted June 20, 2015 Share Posted June 20, 2015 "Confound and Destroy" by Streetly and "Aircraft of 100 Group" by Hale have been niggling away at me to attempt some converted B17/24s for absolutely ages and now this is sprung on me!!?? These look like must have decal sheets for me as I have been working my way up to starting the Viermots in my stash. Now all I have to do is try to understand the various marks of B24 and all of different side gunner window positions/tail turret variations/cockpit glazing/forward armament on the B17s and then go and buy a huge pile of the appropriate kits....my credit card just started crying and I can see SWMBO looking at me wondering where this manic grin just came from! He who hesitates is lost... ...being an avid enthusiast of 100 Group and its work I was worried theses decals might be released and sell out whilst I was on holiday, I was the victim of very flakey interweb connections and wasn't really able to order whilst I was away. I've hopefully put in an order with Avax-model, I couldn't see any method of using a card or paypal with arturmodel, they appeared to be local only. We'll wait & see what eventuates, I'm mainly hanging out for the ASH Mosquito decals, I've got a paragon conversion for this but several of the others appeal the SEAC Halifax being high up there. So are these decals on a limited run basis? I've recently purchased a number of DK's RAAF decal sheets and it would appear that these are readily available at most good outlets. On the DK website, they say they are limited to 200 sheets of each & some of them are showing sold out on the website. stevehnz Posted July 30, 2015 Share Posted July 30, 2015 Blackbird do some decal sheets for some of their conversion, for example there is a Mosquito sheet which has a scheme for the Higball Mosquito of 618 sqn conversion that they do. It also has a scheme on it for a Mosquito NF.XV which they may or may not do/have done, no one will tell me. They look pretty nice being print by Fantasy Print shop as I recall. Steve.
