lasermonkey
A few more pics, taken from the starboard side, as they may be of interest. I particularly like the pic of SH@S, with that 49' roundel! This one is interesting, as it shows an unmarked Spit landing, possibly being delivered fresh or from MU. Note the pale roundel colours (remember, this is from the same newsreel which also shows the expected darker colours) and what appears to be a gas detection patch on the fuselage, before the fin. Here's SH@D again from the port side. Is it just me that thinks the spinner tip is either a different colour or polished bare metal? Check the previous pic I posted which shows a similar effect. I'm sure I have a couple of pics of K9964/SH@W looking a bit battered after a forced landing in France. I'll try to put them up later. If anyone has any other pics or info, please share if you can! Cheers, Mark. edit: and a couple more I just found on the hard drive: Edited May 24, 2016 by lasermonkey
Smithy
Hi Lasermonkey, I might be able to help as one of my relatives flew with 64 during the BoB and in '41. I'm at work at the mo so can't delve into what I have but PM me if you want. Cheers, Tim
