It should bulge out more and have a more noticable angle back to the fuselage - the kit version is too upright
troschi
True, think I mentioned it earlier. But as stated above, the engine cowling is only the more bulgy one with HH-65A and B which used Lycoming engines. HH-65C have the standard dauphin Turbomeca turbines and therefore have standard "upright" engine cowlings.

cvrle
Why is the HH-65C a limited release!? 🙄
cvrle
Okay, i snatched the MH/HH-65C off E-bay, $25. The nose, winch, FLIR and some antennas are cream coloured pale resin. The FLIR is basically just a ball, no discernable features on it. To be honest, the winch looks a bit flimsy. Overall, the quality of the resin is not up to the industry leaders, but not bad either. The rescue basket is etch, together with some details. I'm happy because I finally got it, but there is still room for additional detail. Cheers! Depends how much of a pedant you are - it has vertical sides, whereas it should have slightly angled outwards sides (wider at the top)
roym
Can anyone tell me what's different from the Z-9C and As565 boxings (besides decals)? Think an AS565 is closest to an IAC SA365Fi but not sure on the Z-9C.

Urubu-Rei
Unfortunately, one would have to kit-bash the AS-565 and the Z-9DJ models above to get a proper, correct french AS-565 (or Mexican, Brazilian and actually most military versions), at least in what concerns the doors. One would need the Z-9DJ fuselage, which has the correct, wider BACK sliding-door, and the one-piece transparent parts (port ans starboard) that have the correct cockpit door (plexiglass on top and bottom portions of the door, with no frames on the top portion) and front fuselage door (large, almost frame-to-frame windows)... ... or you could try to be lucky enough to find the MP Originals Masters Models update set shown above. I guess you're right... On the other hand: the kit is not too expensive, so selling the house is not necessary for a kit bash!😉 I for one am extremely pleased with the DM Dauphin kits: after the countless Huey-, Blackhawk- and Cobra- kits by the other manufacturers at last something that can be used by modellers of civil helicopters! I am anxiously awaiting possible new releases by Dream Model. Gertjan Edited July 25, 2019 by GeejeeZ
