Speedman
I'll be using the Academy kit but using the Japanese markings from a Revell kit.
Speedman
I've finally cleared my bench of a few group builds that were getting near their deadlines and made a start on this one. Nose weight added and the interior painted. I've rescribed the wings as the panel lines were very shallow compared to the fuselage. Fuselage together and wings on.

Speedman
Cheers I spent a bit of time correcting the shape of the fin and gun muzzle before fitting the undercarriage doors and pylons over the last couple of days. I added a bit of detail to the seats, not that you can see much of them once the canopy is on. Canopy masked and fitted. Primed!
Speedman
I managed to get most of the painting done Saturday night and Sunday morning, unfortunately my tablet threw a wobbly and decided to corrupt the files, so I've no photos of that stage. Here it is with the decals on... The decals are from a Revel kit apart from the red fuselage band and the intake warnings from the spares box. Undercarriage fitted. The intake warnings were cobbled together from 5 different decals. Two strips of red with separate "JET", "WARNING" and "DANGER" decals on top!
