Fishbed
Here is may rendition of Airfix's 1/72 Lightning F6. Nearly out-the-box. I replaced the nose wheel/leg and main wheels with the Baracuda set. The redtops are the Sword versions with the airfix clear nose added. Decals are a mix of Airfix, modeldecal and Xtradecal. As you can tell from the photos, the wing tanks are not fixed in place yet. So thats the F1 and F6 done, just need to fill the gap with the 2/2a/3/4/5................ Tim

eng
A Lightning with bite! Beautiful build, I can't wait to add a shark mouth machine to my collection but I'll be hard pushed to top this one. Eng
bentwaters81tfw
Got to love the Lightning. I'm going to nit pick a little here: The Lightning, as we know, was prone to engine fires, and a very tight package. The ground crew would not have let the bird fly with any kind of oil leaks. Don't worry about nit picking, its the best way to improve. I can not find the picture I was basing the "dirt" on, but the one below does show the type of streaks that I was trying to achieve, may be I went over the top :-) https://www.flickr.com/photos/124567752@N07/14206210493 Tim
