Graham T
I'm building my second example of this (actually a commission build). It's a great little kit but, please, in whose reality do the two "cheek" windows actually fit? On both my builds they are atrocious, being totally out of shape with the contours of the fuselage. I've got them in but they don't look too great & I'll be pooping myself for the rest of the build in case I inadvertantly put pressue on them & push them inside as there'll be NO way of getting them back if I do! Jabba
No it is not just you, as I had a similar problem when making an AH-7.
steve4428
Had the same problem with both the Army and Navy versions
Shaun
Same here, not the best part of the kit. Shaun.
sailorboy61
I think they are designed to annoy. Right at the last minute as you're fighting to get the front glass in, they are perfectly placed in the grip position so invariably you push the little beggers back out again.... and again..... heloman1
Can't remeber if I had a problem or not but are you putting the correct part in the correct side? Just checked mine out it looks fine. Colin

Colin Well if it were just me on one build, I'd say it were possible but it looks like plenty of others have encountered the issue. Not only does it not seem to match the profile of the surrounding plastic on the outside but the surround needs to be trimmed or it fouls the plastic "wall" in front of it. I tried removing a small amount but it made no difference.

Rickpadwick1801
I have both of these helicopters to build, the AH-7 which I bought myself and the HMA.8 which my wife has bought me for my birthday.....I will report back when I start building them. RedBarron
I built one of these a while ago, like Colin, I can't remember having a fit problem with them. I did use the Eduard exterior set that had the surrounds for the windows so maybe that masked the problem. I do remember pushing the windows out every time I picked it up though. Sprtt
Just finished AH7 and had the same problem. Cheek Windows don't fit snugly. In fact a number of the parts need a little trimming to fit exactly.
Paul J
Funny that. Those on my build went in very well.

However, your staining is a little excessive. Operational aircraft were wiped down with PX24 every day and if i had left my aircraft in that condition I would have been shot by the squadron SMR. RedBarron
Thanks Tucker, you are right the weathering is too excessive. I used a clay based wash, it picks out the details but is not exactly subtle. I'm trying the panel line washes from Ammo now for a more accurate finish. As an ex Lynx M1 I never let my cab get in that state, although we don't wipe it with PX24 anymore just lotox.
