Bonehammer
Wow, more money spent for me! Not that there was anything wrong with the LTD kit, other than the chin radiator. And a general heaviness of the details. And the vacform canopies. And the decals for different versions than the plastic. And... In all, even considered the low popularity of GPW airplanes, Modelsvit may have just acquired a license to print money. Keep an eye on the Forex for signs of collapse. Bonehammer
Hmm, same brakdown as the Yak-1 and those wing fairings were a witch to glue. Maybe something was warped; in any case, I suggest all interested parties to get these babies while the moulds are fresh.

SleeperService
Looking at the canopy I think they've gone for the Victorian bottle glass effect. Is there an alternative available?

John Thompson
Good on ya, Modelsvit - seems like someone has finally decided to give the Yak-9 its due. I'd be happier - thrilled senseless, even - if they were doing all this in 1/72, but I'm not going to begrudge the enjoyment of those ham-fisted souls who need 50% bigger pieces... B.sin
Modelsvit, very nice! How about a 1/48th scale Yak-41 Freestyle.
John Thompson
Looks great! Maybe with Modelsvit making such a commitment to the Yak-9 series in 1/48, someone will pick up on doing the same in 1/72. The recent attention to the Yak-1b in one-seventytooth (excellent kits from Brengun and Arma) is encouraging! John
