Colin @ Freightdog Models Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 I think its a re-issue of a Redux kit, but I might be wrong? If it is then the price is lower than it was which is a good thing. Colin
cmatthewbacon Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Not very impressive, apart from the size, I'd say... That overscale detailing might be OK for a 1/285 wargames model, but at this size it's a caricature. I'd still pick the old Revell kit for a model that size-ish, and the re-worked Hobbycraft kit for 1/32. Both have much better scale detail, though there's probably a bit more to scratch build. Mind you, at that price, you can have a Hobbycraft kit AND a Wingnut Snipe or Pup to plunder for spares... Interestingly, the musthavemodels page describes it as an "injected plastic plus resin (cockpit, engine, ailerons)" not a full resin kit, though the pictures sure do look like it's all-resin. Me, I'll save my pennies for the Airfix "Centenary" 1/24th kit in 2016... bestest, M.
