Vickers Wellington Advice Sought

Guys

I have both of the Trumpeter 1/48 Wellingtons in the stash, the Mk 111 and the Mk 1c. I have decided that one is to go and at present I favour keeping the Mk 111 as I have a particular Mk111 in mind to portray but I have some after-market for the Mk1c namely 2 CMK sets - interior (includes cockpt) and armament (bomb bay really). My question is can I use those sets on the Mk111 if I keep that one rather than the Mk1c? Or are they Mk1c specific in terms of fit and accuracy? If I can't use them then they may as well go as a bundle along with some after-market decals. If I can use them though I will.

thanks for any guidance in advance as always

John

Hi, John,

Well, the layout of the side windows is pretty different, and it might be the turrets also are. Other details I guess are the same, for modelling purposes.

The bomb bay of the mk III is practically identical to the mk I. The cockpit interiors between the marks do differ and the CMK set is only accurate for a mk I.

The instruments panels of the different marks have a slightly different layout. The instruments panel can hardly be seen one the model is completed though. The CMK set comes with an early style radio for the mk I. This cannot be seen in a mk III because of the lack of windows anyway so you might as well use it on the mk I if you build that first. Be careful to only use a single control column for most operational Wellingtons.
