little-cars
This is the closest category I could find for this one. I used to watch this program when I was little and couldn't resist an O guage (1/43rd) scale kit of the loco and tender for a knock out price. It's a mix of plastic body and metal lower half and has the motor and some lighting included. The kit brand is down as Associated Hobby Manufacturers inc & parts are made by Rivarossi in Italy and the date on the invoice is 1982. They look to have done a number of different engines. Does anyone know anything about the kit or manufacturer? Thanks, Paul
prowler0000
No idea about the kit, Paul... But for nostalgia's sake: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=casey+jones+tv+series+full+episodes

Loft-full
Would it be this one by any chance? (The link has pictures). http://mountainelves.com/The_Elves_Attic/Old%20Auctions/Casey_Jones_Train/train3.html
Motty
What a co-incidence. I've recently discovered this range of kits too. This is the model kit version that you sound like you're looking for. http://www.trainmaster.ch/Z-691.htm Here's one on ebay at the moment. Don't worry too much about the price as this seems pretty high compared to others I have noticed in the past couple of weeks. I think it may be because it includes the separate motorising kit which is apparently quite rare. The usual kit in un-motorised. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rivarossi-7201-7201M-Casey-Jones-Cannon-Ball-Express-Loco-Tender-from-1968-/261834842890?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cf692a30a From what I have gathered, these kits are actually true 1/48 scale which is awesome to me as I usually model 1/48 aircraft, so it sort of maintains a theme. The reason that I found out about these kits is that I discovered (and promptly bought) one of these; http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rivarossi-Indiana-Harbor-Belt-0-8-0-Locomotive-Tender-kit-train-railroad-model-/331538178696?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d31372288 I received it last week and if the Casey Jones kit is anything like the 0-8-0 kit, then it is an excellent kit with great detail, even by today's standards. Comments that I saw on railroad forums suggested that the detail was up there with brass locos as well. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be many other kits in the range. I've found this German 0-6-0 kit; http://germanrail.fr.yuku.com/topic/5919/O-gauge-Rivarossi-locomotives#.VUCnxyHzphH and a couple of civil war 4-4-0 kits I think. It's a shame as I'd love to do more locomotive models like these. Cheers, Motty. Edited April 29, 2015 by Motty
