Great news! An Su-11 from Trumpeter, a Pe-2 from Zvezda, and now this Yak 28 for us Soviet aircraft enthusiasts, good stuff!! (Not to forget Modelsvit's Beriev Be-12!)

At last...after the Hippo one seemed to die off too, my favourite version of my favourite Soviet era fighter, in my favourite scale...short nose too !!...excellent stuff, will definitely be getting one or two of these, lets hope for an increase in the family at some point !

New Fishpot out and a Maiden and Foxhound on the way, and now the Firebar - this is seriously eroding my willpower to stay away from 1/48! A decent Flagon and Foxbat would break it.

Richard, basically the Yak-28 Brewer was a tactical bomber, (the B in Brewer gives it away), but there were also a few special missions variants, the Yak-28R or Brewer-D could carry out high speed, medium/low level photo missions. To complicate matters further there were sub variants of the aircraft, notably the Yak-28SR, Brewer-D, (tactical recon), the Yak-28RR, (radiation intelligence gatherer), Yak-28RL, (a standard Yak-28L bomber fitted out for RINT duties) and Yak-28PP, (Brewer-E) ECM platform, as with several Soviet era aircraft nothing is ever as simple as it first seems.....
