What's the source ? I don't see anything in https://www.facebook.com/kovop?fref=ts

maybe 1/72 ex-RV kit

I don't hang around Czech forums like you do but I don't picture RV cooperate on plastic stuff.

It's funny to see all those manufacturers bounce on the MiG-21 before Eduard takes the market (in 2017-2018 for the PF/PFM perhaps). IMHO the 2nd gen MiG-21s are the sexiest in shape because of the "half spine".

AZ recently cooperated with RV on the Fw 190D11/13 kits:

It will be interesting to see what, if anything, AZ improves if this is indeed the RV tool.

Cheers,

Bill

Interesting. Thanks. Perhaps RV is in charge of the master while AZ is in charge of the tooling and injection.

RV has never produced a Mig-21 "PF". A "PFM" but not a "PF". But it is the same generation of Mig-21.

Alain.

Would a new fuselage allow a PF to be built with wings, etc. from the PFM?

I ask since that is what happened with the AZ Fw 190D. AZ moulded new fuselage halves and boxed them with other components from RV. I think this was done to correct some accuracy issues, others that know more can correct me here.

Cheers,

Bill

No. The PF was equipped with Fowler flaps (so mounted on rails) while the PFM had the SPS system (blown flaps hinged to the wings). Actuator bulges are differently placed.

Its odd. I just looked at the announced Mongol on the KP site and amongst the spruce shots there is an image (KPM0108) of the PFM with a correct spine. It looks like they have mixed up their images! The one shown above is clearly not the PFM (KPM0121).

The Sprue shot above is of the MF and not the PFM. It is incorrectly shown on their website.
