Meanwhile - does anybody have an idea where to obtain Air Magazine issues 21 and 22? I can obtain any other but these two - it seems like these particular issues are carefully kept in the vaults of Farman lovers.

Aah - French art-deco equivalent of a Handley Page Harrow, ugly yet strangely interesting.

Nah - "Harrow" is a medium bomber whereas this monster is heavy - larger than Fortress or Lancaster

Yes and one of the only 4 engine bombers at the start of WW2.

I might have the Mags will need to check as I have loads, forgot what I have 1/2 the time.

Here is my Farman 223.4 built some years ago and it is BiGGER than a Lancaster ! This one was the first bombing Berlin on June 6/7th 1940 night.

Ok - let's get started (or rather "get published")

I have found one thing that was not mentioned in Cybermodeller article - compare these two shots:

The turret should be further aft and the fuselage forms a distinctive edge with the wing upper surface that is flat in the kit

This requires some surgery

Kit tank reinforcement strips are sanded down and replaced with foil

Wings are attached, the opening for repositioned turret is made of plasticard

A strip of thin plastic is used to form an edge

That's how it is looking after the surgery. Note that upper fuselage edges are rounded aft of the wing as they were way too sharp

Very nice. Now you should discard the Karman at the trailing edge because there is not. Actually the deeper part of the wing is on the same level as the upper fuselage and the flaps moved close to the vertical part of the fuselage. :winkgrin:

I managed to glue wrong version of stabilizer. It did not fit ( hah! ) so I had to remove a lot of plastic that I need to restore in order to set the correct one
