Bladerunner film - model shop pictures

Recommended Posts

Apologies if these are well known - but just found this link to a series of pictures (142 of them!) from the Bladerunner model shop.

Also - BFI is planning to show "Bladerunner - The Final Cut" in April. Not sure how many more versions of the film I want to see - but would be nice to see the film on a big screen again.

Hi, Anthony.

As much as I admire the original movie, I simply refuse to see it again until they release the "Ethel the Tea-Lady" cut, which I've been told will come out in 2016. Apparently, it has an extra 1.7 seconds of previously-unseen footage in it...!

Cheers.

Chris.

This is unbelievable! I haven't seen any of these photos before. You get the idea of how much work went into this film, some of this was only on screen for seconds, if at all. I particularly like the airship (blowed if the control gondola isn't a Tamiya Quad...), the Alfa Romeo spinner (god refs for anyone modelling one...), the large Spinner model, the Spinner "tanker"... and the bored looking lady with the fretsaw. Thanks for posting this link!!

Great album - thanks for the link.

I just wish that I could find a release of the film on DVD that has the original voice over! I know that Ridley Scott hated it, but it is an enduring memory of seeing the original. Hopefully I'll get a decent VHS copy sometime and then convert it?

Cheers

Kev

Amazon.co.uk

The re-mastered Directors cut for 4 quid.

Disc one as above.

Disc two special stuff

Disc three Original release (with voiceover)

plus Directors cut plus US version.

At this price only a Replicant would turn it down.

The five-disc version of The Final Cut also contains an interesting pre-release version of the film with slightly different footage and music, as well as the the other versions; but costs a bit more.

Ross.
