All it takes is a little push every now and then.

Dreaded this a little, so I pushed on it, the 5 piece cap strap. 2 pcs from a Verlinden p/e set , one strip of lead sheet, and two Grandt line .040" rivits for the buttons. Oh and 2 hours! :

Thanks giemme.

Lettering created in Corel, transferred to Signlab , .020" plastic card scored on my Ioline cutter , then snapped out as you would a vac kit.

Edges cleaned up then treated with liquid glue to smooth out.

Not sure of the final look , but a lotta treatments to go ... they look really good on the piece.

Lettering progress' through a number of treatments. I'll go with these ,gluing today and then work on making them stand out a little more:

All the title copy placed and glued , thinned white glue capillaried into as many areas as possible. I will endeavor to tone down the chrome Grandt Line hardware , and differentiate the copy from the background with some subtle color changes and shading when the glue has set:
