1/48 Hasegawa Harrier GR.5

Recommended Posts

Finally cleared this one off the work bench.

Hasegawa's Harrier GR7/9 converted to a GR.5 using Amraam line detail set. Other details were;

Aires Cockpit set / Wheel bays / Exhaust Nozzles / RFB flags

Eduard GR.5 etch set

Airwaves Undercarriage set

Flightpaths CBLS and Sidewinders used as acquisition rounds

AV-8B Canopy Det Cord from Flying Leathernecks

Intake blanks by me!

Paints were Xtracolor NATO green and Lichen green. Decals were Model Aliance and kit decals.

Enjoy!

Thanks Guys,

Looks great, nice to see in this scheme. The intake covers look very effective, can I ask how you did these?

FF

The intake covers were easy, firstly i used some blu-tak to get the basic profile of the intake shape, next I placed this on some plastic sheet and cut around it. Next i sanded it to fit into the intakes, once they fit I used milliput to represent the inflated look. Handles were then added from tamiya tape and finally a coat of paint to finish.
