YF12-A ITALERI 1/72

Recommended Posts

Hi. Waiting to offer some new realizations, I'll show you somthing that I did 'few' yers ago.

This model was complictly engraved and the shades of alluminium color was obteined by

mixing Alclad II colors tryng to get closer as possible at titanium alloy as the original plane

were made of. I studied many pictures and I noted meny differens of shadows between

panels. The plack panels with a shadow of brown and bray where gived by using Gunze

Mr.Color.

That looks stunning , how long did that paint job take ?

Hi. It did not take long time because Alclad colors dry quickly. After

the first hand of allumium base I dry it with a hair dryer and the day

after I started masking panels. After that I waited another day to

mask again to obtain shadows around the panels usin Gunze Mr.Color

dark gray (I mixed black with a drop of white) wery diluited and low pressure.

High time for Italeri to put back their YF12 into the market. It is so popular and high on the wanted list of many modellers.Well, while waiting for Ita to do just that, the only thing I can do now is to enjoy looking at renzo's stunning model.
