Robotics
Hello again, Was making pictures of the JF-17 Thunder which I posted just now. I thought I might as well post my previous project also. Here is my Hasegawa J-35 Draken in 1/48th scale. For extra's I used Two Bobs decals for this one, an Aires pit (which actually fits very well!!) and an Aires exhaust. Here come the picca's: Hope you like her! Have a nice day! Reg. Jeroen

Mark
Really quite brilliant! I love it! Which paints did you use?
Spitfire31
That's a fabulous Draken, looking just right! Very realistic. To my eyes, the only thing that gives away the fact it's a model would be that rather exaggerated pre- (or post- ?) shading of the wing tanks. Superior job! Kind regards, Joachim

Kampartiger
Excellent Saab Draken, good weathering especially on the underside and nicely done camo. What compliments the fine lines of the Draken are the well placed decals.Gotta love the plane! Robotics
hey there, first of all; thanks a lot for your kind reactions. @Mark; I primarily use Gunze paints, they are an absolute joy to work with @Joachim; I think you are absolutely correct. In fact I only saw the crudeness of the preshade once I saw the pictures. I still need to make the rockets for the open pylons so I need to go in again and additionally I maybe can try and dull these lines somewhat. Reg. exdraken
very nice model! looks very realistic to me! a rarely seen outfit with underwing tanks , but certainly possible! ! maybe you wanna add a small pitot on the tail fin!? Hasegawa missed it ...

Robotics
@exdraken: i found a picture of a Draken with these 4 tanks so I ordered a pair of extra resin tanks from Maestro models. These are just resin castings of the hasegawa tanks, but without the hassle of sanding, etc. And the pitot... It was there, I drilled the hole, fitted the Master pitot and then it broke off at the final stage. That's the big trouble with metal parts. There is no way to drill into the metal which is still in the plastic after things break off... Reg. Jeroen.

I only wanted to be helpful yeah, I know it was possible! the first Austrian Drakens were delivered that way to Vienna in 1988! http://www.bundesheer.at/cms/artikel.php?ID=2512 Foto: Bundesheer (lousy wheater, no sqaudron markings, no dayglow markings, no RWR and chaff and flare update!) again, great model! Robotics
@Exdraken: no problem at all. I can only say respect to you for seeing all these things. You are just well informed I have another hase draken in the stash, will try to keep the pitot intact on that one "LOL"Reg.
