Looking for info on what ground equipment was used for moving drop tanks on Super Mysteres around - can anyone help or point me in the right direction please?

Links to reference pictures would be more than welcome.

thanks in advance..

Thanks Wez,

Lots to look at there - I'll start trawling through them!

cheers

Unfortunately, most photo's taken by enthusiasts omit the Ground Servicing Equipment as unwanted clutter, your best option would be official photo's taken by service photographers or publicity units, your far more likely to see things warts and all including GSE.

Hi there

Well there are not many published sources but maybe you able to find something from

Docavia 13 AMD Ouragan Mystere et Super Mysteres

doc13.jpg

Ouest France Dassault Super Mystere

SM%20B2.jpg

those are the titles of old oop books maybe you can find them at Amazon or Abebooks

There is a series of comic books named Tanguy & Laverdure and are based on adventures of a couple of Armee'Lair pilots starting from T-33, Super Mystere, Mirage IIIC/E and Mirage F1

Best luck

Armando

I don't have pictures of French Mystere, but at the same time (early sixties) on this side of the Alps (Italy), drop tanks were on simple carts and installed by hand (obviously empty), nothing really technical, the loaders like Mj1 came after.

Thanks Armando and onosendai,

I have the Docavia and Ouest books - I'll have another look through them - I think you're right - a simple trolly will look ok for the dio,

cheers
