I was interested to see my local church mentioned in this article and thought I could add to the story

with a picture of P/O A. L . Shaws final resting place.

I was surprised a pilot officer was in the rear turret though.

Hello Roy`s,

Thanks ever so much for posting the photo, it was myself who wrote the article!

Although it has not been captioned properly, the photo on page 37 showing the crew stood around the Halifax rear turret features the crew of `Git Up Them Stairs' and Artie Shaw the rear gunner is at the rear, 2nd from left and next to his pilot Charles Ford, with whom he flew 28 sorties, as per the table on page 34.
