Nice work! Can't wait to see this baby done.

Just don't do what I did and download all 4 series of the show. You'll never get the theme tune out of you head again!!

Hi peeps.

As promised, a photographic update.

Seam sanding is now underway.

Started along the top of the tail boom, as this was the easiest place to begin.

There was a small step all along, which was removed using a flat needle file, then micromeshed.

Moved along to the rear upper fuselage next, another slight step here, but the file soon took care of it. The panel lines might need some attention though.

Now working on the front, above the cockpit. Using masking tape to try and preserve the surface detail.

Any suggestions for sanding the bottom?

Don't want to damage the rivet detail, as they are all raised.

Decided to block the rotor head in with white tac, hope it prevents paint ingress.

Thanks for stopping by.

Later.

Matt

Quick update chaps.

Most of the sanding is done now...

As you can see in the last picture, I wasn't able to save the rivet details.

Think I might invest in some archer rivet decals to replace them.

Don't think I am going to try and sand between the rivets along the bottom of the tail boom, will leave it and see how it all looks under a coat of primer.

Hopefully next time I update, the primer will be on.

You've done a good job with those seams. I got myself a flexi file at Huddersfield, so I think it might com in useful for that job. I like seeing this one progress. My favourite WIP on the site at the moment.

Cheers,

Tom.

Thanks for the kind comments Tom.

The top seams are pretty easy to deal with.

Mind you, so are the bottom ones (if you don't care about the rivets). Saying that, the rivets are quite over pronounced, and might benefit fron knocking back a bit. All down to personal preference.

Hi chaps.

Sorry I haven't posted any updates recently, work is still progressing, but slowly. Trying to sort out the seams on the tail boom, whilst preserving the rivet details. Also some pesky seams on the top of the fuselage.

I think that I might just be stalling though, trying to avoid the paint job.

Hopefully I will be able to get some primer on soon, to see how bad they look.

Hello again.

FINALLY... An update worth posting.

Finished adding all the last few bits and bobs to the fuselage and have given it a nice coat of alclads finest grey primer.

It showed up a few little areas that could benefit from a bit more work.

So finally I present. Grey wolf.....

Righty ho chaps.

Another update.

Got a coat of gloss white on the lady.

Used cheapo poundland rattle cans.

Done the job quite well, nice and glossy.

Needs another coat though, still some areas of grey showing through.

Next up, the black(ish) top half.

Wonder if there will be any nasty reactions between the rattle can white, and the revell enamel.

Oh well..... soon find out.

Sorry for the quality of the photos, was hard to stop my hand shaking.

Laters.
