AndrewCJ50
Am amazed how well the old Tamiya Quad looks! Puts many more modern offerings to shame I would only add the 8th Army cooker i.e. an oil can with sand in the bottom, holes in the side and then add some petrol and woof tea's up! Well done! Matt_L
Wow x2. I've been thinking loosely about having a go at armour models, this is very inspiring and may tip the balance for me!! Matt

Badder
Quad Gun Tractor BRITISH ARMY NORTH AFRICA TAMIYA 1/35 Hi everyone I built Tamiyas classic Quad in May 2014 after picking it up cheap on ebay. The kit came with Eduards PE set and, in addition to that, I scratch built a few extra details. The stowage came mainly from a Bronco British equipment set. The figures are MiniArt with Hornet heads and the base is a square of plasterboard covered with Vallejo texture paste. It was always my favourite when looking through the Tamiya catalogue as a kit so I'm glad I've finally been able to build it. It was first issued the year after I was born and after 40+ years, the fit and finish of the kit is distinctly better than that of the builder! Hope you enjoy the shots Thanks for looking Andy Blinking heck blimey! I give up! Stunning. Badder

PlaStix
Missed this last year but glad it's appeared again - that is beautifully superb - both the kit and the scene. Amazing stuff!! Any chance you would consider taking part in the Vignette GB later this year?

FZ6
The Quad is one of my favourite wartime vehicles and you've done a fabulous job with it. It's inspiring me to finish the one I started which is languishing on the shelf of doom at the moment. Are the figures the British tank riders? They look great but I think the Hornet Heads make a real difference. Thanks for sharing, Mark
Andy Moore
Thanks everyone Are the figures the British tank riders? They look great but I think the Hornet Heads make a real difference. Thanks for sharing, Mark Thanks Mark, Yes, they're the Miniart British tank riders. They're nice figures, but the heads weren't brilliant, so it made sense to swap them. First time I'd used Hornet heads and I was blown away by the quality of the sculpting. My paint job doesn't really do them justice as it was in my pre-optivisor days . The poses are a little awkward, particularly on the chap standing. I should probably have re-worked them a little. Andy
