Blanik
Currently there is a not too expensive Moonraker for sale on EvilBay - including the very vintage decals which go along the kit. While they do appear unyellowed, is there a fair chance to use decals of that age successfully? While I can remember some member's adventures with decals, I couldn't convince myself that their procedures would work in this case... Thank you in advance for tips! spruecutter96
Hi, Blanik. Use two coats of Microscale Decal Film on the decal sheet. This should stop the decals from falling apart when they come out of the water. Hope this helps. Chris.

Blanik
Chris, Paul, thank you very much - in case I win the auction I'll go the Microscale Decal Film way and - if I fail - can always use Paul's decals. Win-win! Beyond that: My first or second model kit ever - Aurora's F-104 Starfighter Prototype (1/110, kit no. 291-29) awaits restoration and my first experiment with Alclad. I obtained original decals via Ebay and now it seems that I may actually able to use them... Thank you very much for your replies!
