Hi,

Back to Japan Navy shelf - today I would like to share with photos of Nakijima B5N2 type 97, model 3 ("Kate" - in Allies code), serial AI-301 of 1st Kokutai, 1st Koku Sentai, Akagi aircraft carrier, IJN, December 1941. Crew: pilot Lt. Mitsuo Matsuzaki, observer Lt. cmdr Mitsuo Fuchida, gunner: PO Tokunobu Mizuki. This machine led first attack on Pearl Harbour and M.Fuchida was commander of the attack. Model is made out of Hasegawa kit except .

Looks like a plane that had a very hard life. Lovely!

Hi Mitch,

In one profile you may see on wing palette the bare metal area in rear fuselage reach even about 50%. I di d not went so far.

Hi Jerzy!!!!

I have missed this one but watching carefully finally got it!!!

I am sure that with all the nice and wonderful masterworks presented here, there is more than one starting to collect japanese related items, as your fine work is very inspirational. Sure your work is selling many more japanese forces kits than the advertisementes in magazines.

I like the way you have finished this one with this colourful finish and version you have got, really a very nice looking model.
