whitestar12chris
Hi heres the finished models, not happy with photos, as can be seen by group shot with tin of paint they are not very big, even with macro just not getting results so apologies the photos just dont do the models justice except the group pic. As a build they are very simple with the block III consisting of 6 parts plus the masts i added from a seawolf, being resin its good old super glue time, small and fiddly bow planes and tail fins, the casting is very good with only a single line to clean up on the centre of the underside. The advantage of these 1/700 OKB kits is that they depict subjects not yet available in larger scales, as far as US Navy SSN's ive almost got a complete set bar a couple of one off classes. Virginia class Block I-II Virginia Class Block III Finally group photo with other ssn's, from top down, 1) USS Los Angeles SSN 688, Los Angeles class flight I (hobbyboss) 2) USS San Francisco SSN 711, Los Angeles Class flight II (hobbyboss) 3) USS Greenville SSN 772, Los Angeles class flight III (hobbyboss) 4) USS Seawolf SSN 21, Seawolf class (hobbyboss) 5) USS Jimmy Carter, SSN 23, Seawolf class (hobbyboss) 6) USS Virginia SSN 774, Virginia Class block I (OKB Grigorov) 7) USS North Dakota SSN 784, Virginia Class block III (OKB Grigorov) All the best Chris
