jenko
Latest of the bench is the Tamiya 1/48 Fairey Swordfish Mk ll. 819 NAS based at RAF Manston in June 1944. I saw a picture of this aircraft in the Swordfish, From the cockpit book and as Manston is just up the road from me I thought it would be rude not to model it. The kit is a dream and the decals are from the xtra decal / MDC sheet. And yes there is a cover from the engine cowling to the oil cooler, a mod used on the Arctic convoys. Hope you like her, please feel free to comment etc. Thanks for looking Dick

the MDman
Nice to see a Swordfish in black, it suits her. The model is nicely rigged too. Only to me the steering cables look a bit heavy.

pacificmustang
that looks glorious Dick. Ive been looking for a scheme when I do my Trumpeter one. Bedders
Blimey she's a beaut! I try not to get tempted by 48th scale (if I'm honest to keep me from going completely modelling-bananas) but this one I just couldn't resist. Black can really be flattering to an aeroplane and your Stringbag wears the colour beautifully.
