Max Headroom Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Nice! Do I see AR212 as an option? Trevor
avro683 Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Yes, with yellow nose. There's a quote there somewhere. 1
Max Headroom Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Yes, with yellow nose. There's a quote there somewhere. That's the one I'd do. 57 OTU at Hawarden is local interest for me. Trevor 1
Troy Smith Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I don't see a sprue for the wing guns/panels shown. Exposed gun bays are a feature of the new Hurricane kit too, and also ties in with their ground crew sets. Neat.
Biggles87 Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 (edited) It looks good to me, especially with the recent Mk V cockpit improvements and no seperate flaps. I also have an interest in Hawarden as I did my ATC gliding there in the early '60s, later becoming a staff cadet. A bit before your time! I think Trevor Another Spitfire! I can hear in the background. John Edited January 29, 2015 by Biggles87

Max Headroom Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Here's a thread I started a while ago regarding g the nose colour of '212. Everyone agreed it was white until someone found the pilot's logbook. http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234941938-57-otu-spitfire-nose-colours/#entry1586816 Trevor

Jon Kunac-Tabinor Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Yep - I'm in for 1 or 2 Nice to see the 2 blade prop early option in there too. Jonners
Col. Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 A 602 squadron option makes this a certain addition to my stash. 1
Doug Rogers Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Yep - I'm in for 1 or 2 Nice to see the 2 blade prop early option in there too. Jonners Amen to that, really good to see the two blade option. Definitely be getting several of these.
gruffy Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 That's the one I'd do. 57 OTU at Hawarden is local interest for me. Trevor same here! My wife's uncle flew that one !

TEXANTOMCAT Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 I have an original boxing in the stash for an early MK1 - I really like the flat canopy, two blade prop look of the Spit and at least it has the head armour which inexplicably Tamiyas doesn’t! TT
