Achtung Torpedo!

Does anyone have any good photos or profiles of Ju 88A-17s? Preference would be to a machine used in the North against the Murmansk convoys. Try as I might, I haven't been able to find many pictures of this purpose built Ju 88 torpedo bomber. In addition, were all '88s in regular 70/71 paint scheme or were some of them painted in 72/73?

Much Thanks

Supposedly all Ju88s were delivered in 70/71. Junkers were very production oriented and a single paint scheme would help. Similarly apparently every Do217 was painted 72/73, possibly due to its design origin and early application the maritime role? However, later in the war most maritime Ju88s adopted some variant or another of the "wave mirror" schemes and/or the new dark blue colour. There are a fair number of photos around, plus at least one dedicated book, so don't give up looking for them.

I don' t think they ever used any RLM camouflage standard for german sea planes (72/73). They were all land based (70/71) eventually in white overpainted winter camouflage or mäander camouflage:
