Mirage 2000's are eligible for this GB you know, like this one with its rather interesting weapons load...

MIRAGE_2000_D.jpg?g2_GALLERYSID=TMP_SESS

...notice that there's no back seater in this 2000N.

Join us in the Mirage GB for 2017, Mirage III, 5, F.1, 2000, Dagger, Nesher, Kfir, Pantera and Cheetah all accepted!

As long as it's a Mirage or based on a Mirage airframe you'll be welcome!

Which solves the problem of there being no suitable underwing tanks available in any 1/72 kit.

By the way, I have Italeri's Mirage 2000D, Tamiya's Mirage 2000C (an Italeri reboxing) and Italeri's Kfir, all 1/72. Mirages where my favourite jets when I was a kid :)

However, I've ever just built one ESCI Mirage F1 in 1/48.

I'll have to decide which one to build, when the time comes.

Cheers

Jaime,

In some ways its good to have many options available to you and in some ways it's not - it just depends upon how decisive you are!

For this GB I have choices of Mirage IIIC, 5, F.1C and 2000C in 1/48th and Mirage F.1B, F.1C, Kfir C.2 and F-21 Lion in 1/72nd.

I have been very decisive and already made my choice if this GB goes ahead (which it should) :fight: , I'll be making a Mirage F.1.

But will that be a Mirage F.1B or F.1C... :hmmm:

...and then what markings? Here I can be decisive, French of course! Or maybe Spanish, or Ecuadorian...mmm, not so decisive after all!

It just goes to show how much choice there is within this GB though and why it would be a good one to join!

Wez,

I'll probably build one of the 2000, possibly in French markings. If possible, I'll throw some PE or resin at it, as I'm detail obsessed... I'm still looking for available options.

The new Mirages by Special Hobby and RV Aircraft look also very tempting...

Cheers

Jaime

Why not include all the family?

IVA, IVP, but also the 50/NG, and the pioneers, MD.550/Mirage I, and II???

Simple reason, I forgot them!

So what I meant to say was join us in the Mirage GB for 2017, Mirage MD.550/I, II, III, IVA, IVP, 5, 50/NG, F.1, 2000, Dagger, Nesher, Kfir, Pantera and Cheetah all accepted!

How's that Antoine?

I'd like to join! Seems fun. Not sure yet, but I might have a go at the Heller Mirage III or 5 in 72nd. But knowing me knowing myself, I'll probably change my mind about a 100 times.

I could have sworn, i had already signed up for this, but it would appear not, so please count me in.

I've got an old 1/48 Heller IIIC/B kit, most of the parts are off the sprue and some very minor construction has already been done (I only opened the box for a look honest), if that's not eligible then I might be forced into buying an AMK Kfir

What a fine kit that Heller IIIC/B is - easily one of their finest.

Welcome aboard Ant!

I'm still in, and was getting a bit worried it might not get there until I saw tthis update

Wez any chance to put this on post 1? to make it a bit clearer.

Probably edit out the bits about last year.

I think I make it 37 now which is really encouraging

Graeme,

I'd be happy to go in and edit the first post but I didn't start the thread so it's not mine to edit, that's Enzo's prerogative.

I understand that people like to see inclusion in the list and like to see the list being updated so to make things easier for Enzo...

Sounds about long enough, I think it should come off the shelf for this GB in 2017.

I'm sure there's plenty of others out there with a Mirage just aching to come out of the stash - if you join this GB it can!
