Title says it all, in my opinion Sword is the best Czech short run Company, they usually produce 5-6 new boxings per year (2-3 toolings).

They have their share of omissions, but again nowhere near some other more known names coming from CZ.

My list...

1. Saunders-Roe SR/A.1

2. Martin Baker MB.5

3. Hawker P.1127

4. Hawker Kestrel

5. Convair F2Y Sea Dart

6. Hawker Hunter F.1

7. H.S Dominie T.1

8. Focke-Wulf Fw 61

Etc.....................................

Regards

Tom

Cannot see how Christmas wish list is comparable to Airfix wish list or any other similar topic here on rumormonger that is actually read by manufacturers themselves,,,,

I can retitle the topic saying Sword Models Rumors etc...

I'm still waiting on the U125 kits they announced a while ago.

Paul Harrison

North Wing Model Craft proposes a very nice 1/72nd U-125 resin kit

There's a goldmine called Curtiss P-40N with no decent 1:72 kit so far (Matchbox is crude, Academy has shape errors and Hasegawa has raised lines).

And the best long-tail P-40 kit in 72nd scale is P-40K-15 by Sword.

Can't you see that, Gentlemen?

Edited 14 hours later:

Ooops! You're right, Occa (#10). The Hase P-40N has recessed lines.

I've built this kit some 35 years ago, so... :)

Nevertheless it lacks plenty of details, even the mainwheel bays are plain :(

3. Hawker P.1127

4. Hawker Kestrel

Happy enough with the Airfix Dominie, but I'll take those two (actually it would need to be multiple P1127s as there are about 40 variations, including 3 or 4 different wings!)

Oh and I wonder if either would sell the engines separately for those of us wanting to do later 125 CC1/2/3s?

Not true, it has recessed panel lines and is very accurate, just the cockpit is a bit empty.

IMO still the best in 1/72

I had been told the Hasegawa kit had engraved panel lines, was I mislead?

EDIT: It appears I wasn't!

That would sure be a goldmine ! A P-40N could be reissued in so many boxes with different colour schemes and markings, it could keep theh company busy for years

On their website they say they like US Navy subjects, FJ-3 Fury please.

Robert

Not such a good seller as the P-40N maybe, but one subject that has been missed by many. I'd love to have a good injected kit of this variant. And mind, the only FJ-4 on the market isn't that great either and could do with replacing

1- Macchi C 202, an accurate kit and not the Hasegawa's or Italeri's caricature :hmmm: - a C 200 to follow, of course.

2- Hall PH3

3- Grumman JF2, a J2F family to follow for sure

4- G91Y

5- Northrop F15

6- Grumman Tigercat F7F

7- OV10A Bronco, how can we live with the Academy's parody ? Just because it has recessed panel lines ? :nono:
