mcdonnell
Hello,Jonathan - My full compliments to you on a beautiful looking layout.I love my scale modelling and I also love model railways. We can build our favourite subject in scale model form and put in pride of place in the cabinet or on the shelf but a model railway is 'alive'. I can totally relax and unwind by just watching the trains run by.I'm not bothered about digital sound effects or anything like that.I just love to watch and hear the movement of the trains themselves. Great work on a great subject.I love it. 😉👍 All the best,Paul.

jonf45
i'd forgotten i'd started this thread!! Most of my time now is spent repainting/relivery-ing or re-numbering/naming. Have done a fair bit of weathering the stock too. bigbadbadge
Oh wow, this is great, fantastic work on the layout, stock weathering etc. This evolves memories of travelling to Bournemouth in the mid 70s from Beckenham , used to remember the ticking if relays I presume as the 4 VEP or what ever we were on then was sat in the station. Love the class 33s too, they arexa favourite. Chris
Tim R-T-C
Lovely work. My favourite period to see modelled, particularly the 3rd rail units. Very effective weathering.

keefr22
Just come across this topic and have to say you have a really stunning layout there with some of my favourite locos, in some of my favourite liveries! We used to spend lots of family holidays in Dawlish and NSE 50's & 47's were very definitely favourites! Your weathering is excellent too! Also well remember 33's on Swansea-Portsmouth Harbour services, lovely little locos! Really excellent modelling!! Keith
