dalea Posted January 22, 2015 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Google has let me down in trying to find a photo of this aircraft which is one of the options in the Airfix kit (and earlier in the Octopus kit). Seahawk Posted January 22, 2015 Share Posted January 22, 2015 (edited) You can proceed with confidence: there was a photo on p.63 of the October 1967 Airfix Magazine. Doesn't show the upper wing roundel, which is why some iterations of the scheme have it (probably) wrong: outer diameter of the roundel was in all probability 40". Airfix got that right last time round but I think the current sheet has a small uppersurface roundel. Outline of overpainted Type C/C1 roundels visible under wing and on fuselage. Bomb racks present. From memory it was serving with a Flleet Requirements Unit (728 Sq??) in South Africa.
