Way back in about 1970 i built a very large model of the Mayflower by Revell, for the time it seemed like a very impressive kit, everything seemed to fit perfectly if memory serves me well and it was a very enjoyable build. Recently I came across one marketed by Trumpeteer. would this be the same model ?. It was far bigger than the one Revell have now in their catalog,

cheers Mike

Hallo

H-366 later Nr.5602 was the large one.

H-316 later Nr. 5486 was the smaller one ( I think now in the catalogue)

Here a link (german) : http://modellbauer.forum-aktiv.com/t8540-revell-alexander-von-humboldt-1150

Scroll down to the end. Tomorrow I will look in my old catalogues, which scale they were. I think the small was 1:83 and the big one was 1:45 or 1:64 ( there was something wrong with the scale designation on the box like that on the PoW: 1:720 instead of 1:570)

And I guesss it was the big one with 35 cm length and 466 pieces, but will look tomorrow after that. Finally I don't think Trumpeter reboxed it.

Edit: The small was 36 cm, the big one is 24"=60,96 cm ( look on the box)

Trumpeter is 1:60 Oh it could be the Revell one:http://www.wettringer-modellbauforum.de/forum/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=47145
