Mike
Having dangled from the hook of one of these once upon a time, I was pondering this one a little over the weekend. No-one's ever kitted this in 1:48 that I know of, and I think it would look mightily impressive, with plenty of options for civil use markings as well as military. How about it? Make your thoughts known, and if there are enough people interested, I'll send a link to some manufacturers This the one I dangled from at Pima
Shar2
Oh yes please. Built one 1:72 as a kid but have always liked the praying mantis look of this beast.

Often thought you could use the 1/48 Revell CH-53 as a bases for a scratch built project. The front cabin is almost the same and you could use the rotors as well Edited January 13, 2015 by hacker
heloman1
If you'd have asked me ten years ago, I'd have said yes. Since then I've moved my field of interest. Maybe still in 72nd. Colin

Spad
Love one in 48th or 72nd to be honest. Built the Revell one many years ago and have always loved it since - have inherited a built one since which I am trying to renovate and improve. Guess you grabbed a hold of the cargo sling and swung around a little?
Ian Shumsky
I'd buy a new tooling of this in 1/72 or 1/48 -- one of my favourite airframes with tons of options and potential.
Julien
Yes please, but put the decals and parts in for the Firefighter one.

Mike
Twice in one week Why were you dangling from a Skycrane? There was a hook hanging at head height, no-one important was looking, so I grabbed hold and lifted my feet - who wouldn't?
Admiral Puff
Yes please - and another vote for the firefighting bits. We have a few that come over here every bushfire season and do sterling work.
Winnie
Mike, should be no probs, as the hook on the CH-54A is rated for 20.000 lbs... lol\
Rob G
I'd also be very happy with an accurate, new tool 1/72th version, as 72 is my preferred helo scale.. I'm down to just the 1 old Revell one now, having sold the other 3 I had (yeah, yeah, I know...).
HL-10
I would love one! 72nd, or 48th, i don't mind. We are long overdue for a new kit of this beauty!

Wafu
The Italian Forestery guys use these for firefighting, saw one up lose and personal a few years ago. http://www.planespotters.net/Aviation_Photos/search.php?tag=Sikorsky+S-64+Skycrane An impressive machine in the flesh so to speak and a worthy one to be a subject in 1/48th.
