Homebee
In the Czech Modelforum it's mentioned that after the 1/48th MiG-21, Spitfire and Bf.109 families, Eduard has as long term project the North American P-51 Mustang in the same scale (http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234974169-148-north-american-p-51-mustang-family-long-term-project-by-eduard/). But as another possible project, the Eduard's Boss, M. Sulc, has also mentioned the Hawker Hurricane! Maybe more news at the yearly Eduard's Novemberfest 2015. Wait and see. Source: http://www.modelforum.cz/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=68170&start=5865 Strange considering Airfix is working on a new tool 1/48th Hawker Hurricane kit (http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234972972-airfix-148-hurricane-mk1/). If not a Hurri then another British subject Mr Sulc? Like a Hawker Tempest or a family of Griffon powered (Mk.XIV...) Spitfire by example... V.P. Doug Rogers
If the new Airfix Hurricane 1 is as good as their new tool Spitfire Vb I'd be happy. But if Eduard want to do other versions too that can only be a good thing for us.
Troy Smith
If the new Airfix Hurricane 1 is as good as their new tool Spitfire Vb I'd be happy. But if Eduard want to do other versions too that can only be a good thing for us. not if they are covered in recessed rivets..... their Spitfire are very impressive, but rivets are not.... or if it stopped Airfix doing other versions properly. They'd clean up if they did a did a family of ACCURATE 1/72nd kits, or any in 1/32nd... I still don't know why Trumpeter have not shrunk down their very good (apart the rivets) 1/24th kit to other scales....

Truro Model Builder
About as subtle as running up to you naked, slapping you around the face with a kipper and running off laughing maniacally. (I must see somebody about these dreams I keep having.) Good news, though. 1
Masinissa
From Eduard's maybe planes to kit seen here👇 https://www.modelforum.cz/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=95280&start=4065#p1898395 "So to celebrate and hope for my top ten in 1/48: Hurricane P-40 (including P-36 and H-75) Spitfire Mk.I / II / V P-38 MiG-21F possibly crack) Me 262 MiG-15 (including UTI) S-199 / CS-199 (+ Bf 109K) Camel Yak-9 (including Jak-1/7)" Love to see Eduard do a Hurricane. But yes, it is good news, especially if they're up to the standard of the Eduard Spitfires!

There's a few people I'd like to run up to me naked with a kipper, but Vlad isn't one of them..... Good news though! 👏
SleeperService
If half that lot arrive I'll be bankrupt but very happy. About time the Hurricane got a good kit in 1/48. Good thing that 2019 release schedules aren't doing much for me at the moment. (Hunter is 2018 delayed, my excuse and I'm sticking to it )

TheFlyingShamrock
I was going to get the Airfix for Xmas and do it in Tom Neil’s markings and now this news comes out… I assume we’d be 12 months away from a release anyway?
alt-92
At least. And we still don't know if it'll be a fabric wing Mk.I (which the Airfix is not).

The only fabric wing Hurricane in 1/48 is the Classic Airframes kit, which itself was based on the Hasegawa Mk.I which resulted in a hilarious assembly blooper, unless you were the one building the kit of course. Masinissa
My understanding is that the 1/48 Hurricane will be released to commemorate the 85th anniversary of The Battle of Britain.

All Mr Sulc said was that one of the designers had done Hurricane scans. However, nobody has said that these are the first scans. They might as well have been scans to fill in details or for some version to be released later.

Hopefully they don’t scan one of the new Hawker Restoration Hurricanes, their top cowling profile is a bit off. The 2025’ish timing is perfect for me… I be able to purchase one just before I retire!
