Tim Moff
Been away from modelling - meant to go to Nigeria then they call the elections off at the last minute, then nib on Airbrush is damaged - await for new one - then busy family etc! Anyways - just before I jet off to Rio to work on Thursday, managed to get first colours on. Went for HUM 148 - looks a bit bright but still wet etc but I think its about right - sorry photos not great, pain trying to focus on these lil blighters! So I think I am going to try make shapes out of bluetack sauasages, of the areas to be painted green - then bluetack/mask tape the rest - its such a little plane I think it may work! Or I may just make flat bluetack masks to cover the beige and leave the exposed areas for the green paint - we will see! I decided to get the top done before masking up for the bottom blue as I thought I might have an issue covering blue with beige.

Tim Moff
Hi all, Well I got the green on as best I could - not exactly true to the pattern but as close as my skills allow - but I think the colour match is good and there will be a bit of weathering to add. Next will be to mask off for the blue underside - that will have to wait until my return from Rio!
Tim Moff
Back from Brazil and with Nigeria on he horizon need to get on - after a bit of childrens room decorating some progress. Undereneath sprayed with some HUM65 and a touch of blue. Also a touch up of the HUM3 green. the eagle eyed will notice a weapons rail missing - it came off during masking before I went away....I diligently put it in some blu tack for safe keeping - and guess what - its missing! hopefuly will turn up! Next metallic engine parts and decals! Edited March 12, 2015 by Tim Moff

Tim Moff
Got JbR's decals on (all 4 of em!), went on fine. Next to seal them with Klear and a bit of panel lines, light weathering with Floreys dark dirt. Then just need to add undercarriage, Pitots etc and a matt varnish! And with its Malian sister!
Tom Cooper
Cool stuff, Tim. Gotta send a few of your photos to Teniente Coronel Gonzales: he's going to like them (he flew C40 in Angola!).

Tim Moff
lol - I take it they shouldn't be on there?
Tom Cooper
Oh, they should: they're right on the money. But, use of S-24s on MiG-21s is so rarely mentioned, it's next to unknown in the public.
