Tom Cooper
I haven't Tom, it's just that the dip in Klear has helped and I was careful about the angle I took the pictures from so the light didn't highlight the crack! ...you trickser... But well-deserved: painstaking research, excellent work here, resulting in a true 'eye-catcher'. The only thing missing: more photos, please! (And nope: the few in the gallery are not enough. ;-)) Edited April 9, 2015 by Tom Cooper
modelling minion
Great work Roland. A very nicely built model and well painted as well. Well done. Craig.
Radleigh
Looks great, a lovely scheme for the Sukhoi! Interesting note too Ken, never thought about the bags and discolouring!
Col.
Cracking result Roland. It's been an interesting journey watching this one come together and take its colours.
Smudge
Cracking job on the Sukhoi. All the research on the colours really paid off, it certainly looks the part.
Tim Moff
great build, love the colour scheme - and masking after my own heart!
Roland Pulfrew
Got to say thanks for all the kind comments, but I have to admit to a small problem On reviewing the photos I noticed that I haven't attached any of the air data sensors. So I'll get that fixed ASAP; very kind of you not to point out my error!!
Roland Pulfrew
Right then air data sensors added and photos in natural light (just for Tom)
Tom Cooper
Special thanks, Roland! I'm very hppay to see that colours match in low sun too. (And think of it, how many people can say, 'I've got a Ugandan Su-30 in my garden'....?)

Roland Pulfrew
Right then, final, final post from me on this topic (I hope you don't mind another couple of pictures and a bit of self indulgence). Following a request I had for a photo of mine to use as an airfield backdrop I thought I would have one final play with my Ugandan Su-30. So with thanks to Melting Tarmac Images (I hope they don't mind) I thought I would have a play with photoshop to see if I could extend the picture, so this: Melting Tarmac Images was modified with more ramp, grass, background and sky became this: And then with the use of a prop, my Noy's Miniatures hard standing (I really must get a modern version), some sunshine and my iPhone I took these: Ugandan Peoples Defence Force Air Force Su-30 AF 011 and AF 015 arrive at Entebbe

Fin
That`s one of the most visually appealing aircraft I`ve seen. Excellent work with that build and awesome photo montage! I`m very impressed. It inspires me to get this kit too. Btw, did you end up editing/replacing the tails or are they the original ones from the kit?
Col.
Yup, that works, rather effective images.
Roland Pulfrew
Fin Many thanks. In the end I decided just to go with the kit parts. I couldn't justify buying the new replacement items and I had already started painting the kit tail fins so didnt fancy cutting them apart.
