Yellow13
Hi All, Looking through the profiles of FW190D9s in Jerry Crandall's two volume set on the FW190D9s and I was struck at how many of the camouflage schemes used RLM77 Grey especially on the wings. This rasies the question of who makes a good match for this colour in their line of paints. I tend to use enamels but acrylic paints are also so doable. Any thoughts on this welcomed. Smouch_249
G'day, I use the Lifecolor range of acrylics. however doing a quick search I came up with this : http://rhorta.home.xs4all.nl/jgrlm.htm F/S 36492 which also appears to be RLM 63v.2 according to this site. http://www.paint4models.com/paintchart/paintconversionchart20100101e.htm# Humbrol 196, and Tamiya XF66 seem to be a close match. Hope that helps. Cheers, Michael. Edited January 3, 2015 by Smouch_249
spitfire
Don't know how accurate it is but here's another chart http://www.rlm.at/cont/archiv01_e.htm Cheers Dennis
Cpt_Farrel
Here's a build I did using Xtracrylix XA1136 Light Compass Grey for RLM 77. It's the light grey on the wings. I thought it worked out nicely. I bet there's a similar colour in the Xtracolour range if you want to avoid acrylics. http://www.network54.com/Forum/47751/message/1358804947/ Edited January 3, 2015 by Cpt_Farrel
Yellow13
Many thanks for the quick responses. That is one beautiful 109! The Light Compass Grey looks like a very close (close enough) match for RLM77. Hopefully my LHS will have it in stock the next time I am in.
